- This is my first experience in home ownership. Since my budget was limited, I opted to move to a smaller town north of where I work. Hopefully the commute will be worth it once the house is completely remodeled.

Is that an Austrian Copper rose I see? Rosa foetida bicolor, love that anise scent!
Love the house pictures! I'm with you on the house that needs outdoor help - I have recently bought an old house that needed help, and my horticulturist-mom just visited and was very upset at the yard! I kept pointing out the many improvements we'd made inside the house, like the working kitchen sink, or the improved drywall, but she was very concerned about the weedy, overgrown yard. We had to go to Home Depot immediately and pick up a lawnmower to knock down those weeds.
Anyway, you look like you're making some great progress and I wish you luck - especially with the floor!
